How it works

From your collection to a one-of-one collectible.

Four steps, from meeting us to receiving your custom collectible in the mail. At this time we're only accepting in-person intakes, to ensure quality and transparency and to give every stone a personal touch.

Step 1 Meet us in person

Arrange an onsite intake, or meet the team at a confirmed show. We collect your stone's details in person.

Step 2 We capture the data from your stone

Our patent-pending process uses several technologies to capture your stone's objective qualities onsite. Your stone goes home with you.

Step 3 We grade your stone

Grading happens after your intake, not onsite or in real time. We grade your stone under the proprietary LakeStone Labs grading criteria, and a geologist reviews every grade.

Step 4 Receive your custom collectible in the mail

Once your grade is final, we make your one-of-one trading card and custom-fit stand and mail them to you.

Your trading card features a high-resolution photograph of your stone, its LSL grade and tier, and its LSL ID, which connects to your stone's Agate Registry record and its recorded dimensions and weight. Your grade is one overall grade that takes condition, banding, translucency and notable features into account. Public sharing is always optional and requires your permission.

We'll confirm timing when you book.
