LakeStone Labs uses a patent-pending process to professionally assess and grade Lake Superior agates. Every standard grade includes a one-of-a-kind card featuring your stone, a stand fitted to its shape, and a private Agate Registry record.
For now, every grade starts in person. We collect your stone's details onsite, and your stone goes home with you. Your grade and collectibles follow after review. Request a grade and we'll follow up with pricing and scheduling.

What every grade includes
- An LSL ID, your stone's unique LakeStone Labs identifier
- Standardized photographs
- Recorded dimensions and weight
- Its LakeStone Labs (LSL) grade and tier
- Documented characteristics such as condition, banding, translucency and notable features
- A one-of-one trading card and a custom-fit stand
Your Agate Registry page and trading card carry these details, and your custom-fit stand is made to fit the stone they describe.
Your completed set includes a unique LSL ID connected to an Agate Registry specimen record. Public sharing is always optional and requires your permission.
One purchase covers the grade, card, stand and record. We'll share pricing when you request a grade.
